What is desire? Most of you probably know that it is the play of desire that
could take you away from yourselves.

Subject: How to raise funds for Art of Living's Youth Programs in your area.

One of the very easy and effective ways of raising money for AoL's Youth
Programs, is through Corporate Contributions. Usually large corporations have
huge amounts of money set aside for charity organizations and towards community
event contributions. These companies have different grant making programs like
matching employee donations, contributing to employee fundraising efforts etc
that can be used to raise funds for AOL service projects across the world.

In the New York/New Jersey area we are doing a lot of projects with schools and
teenagers and that is a key area where companies want to direct their
charitable contributions. A couple of years back we had a meeting of Annelies
with the Director of Volunteer Incentive Programs and Director of Volunteer
Opportunities at Morgan Stanley. They were extremely impressed with Annelies
and the programs that we are offering. In their own words "these programs
should be offered in each and every school in the United States"

In the past couple of years we have received a $5000 grant from Washington
Mutual and over $7500 in grants from Morgan Stanley. Contributions of $500 or
more per employee have been received from CSFB, Citigroup, Bank of Tokyo and
many more financial institutions.

Company Matching contributions have been received from Standard and Poors, AIG,
Tyco to name a few.

Please find beneath a small FAQ that might help:

1) How can I help?
If you are employed with a large corporation, please email me or Pavithra
(pavirajeev@yahoo.com) your name and the name of the company you work for. Also
please check with the HR Contact/HR Intranet Website to find out regarding the
Grant Making programs that your organization supports.

2) Are there keywords that I can use to search my companies intranet website?
Yes, you can use the following keywords to search your intranet website to find
out about the company supported grant making programs...."volunteer incentive
program" ,Grants, Donation, Charity, non-profit, non profit, service, social
service, matching, contribute, fund raising, aid, assistance, charitable,
United Way, easy match etc.
Although, the best approach would be to call your HR contact.

3) My company supports different grant making, fund raising efforts. What do I
do next?
Please email me or Pavithra ( pavirajeev@yahoo.com) your name and the name of
the company that you work for. Also, if possible, list out the details about
the grant making efforts that your company supports. We will work with you in
securing the donations from your company.

4) My company does not provide grants, but provides matching funds.
Please donate all the money to Art of Living via your company or provide the
tax free receipt to your company so that the contribution to Art of Living can
be doubled. This is a good time to make a contribution so that you can get a
write-off before the year end.

5) My company does not provide matching grants, but supports employee fund
raising efforts for charities. How can we utilize this?
We often hold fundraising dinners in which we can get company matching
contributions from your company.

6) My company donates funds via United Way. Can we donate to Art of Living via
United Way?
Yes, money to Art of Living can be donated via United Way. You will need to
specify the Federal Identification number for Art of Living which is
77-0240101.

Subject: DSN, Sri Sri Ashram Oct 09 - BORN AGAIN

Dear friends - It was such a moving & High Prana-power packed time at the
recently concluded DSN here in Texas with one of the most dynamic DSN teachers
- Patti Montella.
Here are some experiences (part1 of 2) from the enthusiastic participants:
"I had such a wonderful time. I came to the course without any knowledge of
what it will be like. Everyone said it will be transformational and I
experienced it first hand. After the course, I can see a significant difference
in how I am reacting to situations. This course does help to live the life to
the fullest."
JGD -Arun

" This course was just too lovely , the experience was just too beautiful ,
cant explain an iota of what i experienced and gained from it . I felt so
empowered and there was such high flow of energy that everybody was just
flying and floating in bliss "
Thanks, JGD :-) Aman
DSN - a completely entertaining 4 days full of fun and always a question of
what next on the day. A real barrier breaking experience and lot more to get
inspired from the speech and the company of the whole group. When these
experiences taken into account throughout my life I hope I can lead a better
life. One week after coming back, I really don't find time to do padma sadhna.
But the commitment and the move out of comfort zone, makes me do it everyday at
least before going to bed around 1am - 2.30 am. Thanks DSN, Patti, Arvind and
everyone to make this DSN a special unforgettable one.
Love,Vignesh
"It was a mind blowing experience for me and life changing as well. I feel
like I am born again. I was holding too many issue back and could not get rid
off them, but with DSN I have confidence that I will be able to get rid off
them all one by one. I would always remember one of Patti's statement, " It
will be uncomfortable, but do it any way. Such a powerful knowledge point and I
am sure with this attitude I will be able to break my barriers.
Patti was truly an amazing teacher and I had so much fun with her and all the
participants."
-Minal
Initially, when I was told about the DSN course, I was not very sure to attend
it. I thought I need some more time, and I would do it later in the future.
But now, I am really glad I did it, because I am able to let go off many of my
personal barriers and inhibitions, which always held me from being 100%. The
techniques and the processes that were taught in DSN helped in creating a YES
mind, that now I am able to look beyond the doubts, if's, but's, excuses etc
that the mind always keeps finding for each and everything. And because of this
YES mind, I am really amazed at my own potential, and I know there is still
more to come. And we had lots & lots & lots of fun with our beloveds- Patti &
Arvind, that its not possible to express in mere words.

So I recommend everybody to just trust in the divine and do DSN, as it gives
you the opportunity to realize your true potential and be a seva warrior-rock
solid from the inside.
DSN Rocks !!! Jai Gurudev ! Neeha

Do Something NOW (DSN) provided me with the motivation to reach out to relieve
the suffering of the world by reaching deep within me and freeing me from my
suffering from within. The course provided the tools I need to enhance my
awareness, consciousness and love that quiets my inner voices of worry and fear
opening me to the experience of a violent free world of love and ecstasy. I am
filled with a passion to serve and spread the knowledge that can free us all
from anguish and darkness. My heart is filled with a profound appreciation for
our beloved, Guruji and I can now say,"YES" to my ability to share love and
knowledge and do all I can to care for our precious existence.

In deepest love and respect, JGD Susan Blumhorst
