It can be quite frustrating for parents to deal with such behaviour and on the
other hand the child feels he/she is not understood. Over several years the
quality of the relationship deteriorates. We observe a lack of closeness in
youngsters and parents today in most families.
Know Your Child (KYC) is a two and half hour interactive workshop for parents
to help them understand children better. KYC does a root cause analysis of
child's behavioural patterns and equips them with the knowledge to help them
in dealing with their children and allowing them to blossom to their full
potential. These inputs are also very vital in preserving the beauty of the
parent child relationship as the child grows up to adolescent and adulthood.

moments. Lord Shiva is also known as Kaala Samhaara Murti. (It means the lord
who slays time). How is it possible to slay time? It is possible by extreme
bliss. When you are blissful you will not feel the passage of time. When you
are not aware of the passage of time, then it is said that time has been
slayed.

It is only through the blessings of GuruDev that within 2 months of time we
have successfully commissioned the Drip Irrigation cum Lift Irrigation Project
in 65 acres of land. Please find press clippings attached herewith
The highlights of the project are:
1. Farmers have contributed 10% of the project cost.
2. 99 farmers are beneficiaries.
3. 3 crops in one year is a reality in the water scarce belt.
4. Around 1250 m of Lift irrigation is there.
5. Our Jhalda (Purulia, West Bengal) boys have been able to galvanize the
farmers and lead them in a harmonious atmosphere for sharing of water and land.
6. It is the first project in Jharkhand in such a large scale at one place.
7. The project cost is only 10 Lakhs; had it been through Govt., it would have
been 40 lakhs.
8. The NSR for the coming year with HIS blessings is 1 crore for the farmers!
9. SAIL has only given the money, all implementation is by us. Since they are
the money providers (in future also), so we have downplayed it to the media.
10. Around 15 people covered in YLTP phase I and 100 People in Rural Part I
course

growing organic veggies in our garden(as cool as those things are!)...I'm

mix to 'rawcolate'-chip cookies(also known as raw chocolate cookies made with
hand made chocolate chips, cashews, sprouted buckwheat, coconut and agave
nectar) and real chocolate macaroons too...and you can't leave out the sesame
snaps and bliss balls! All of the ingredients are 100% certified organic from
the most sustainable sources available. Come see for yourself and be amazed at
how delectable raw food can be.
A little over a year ago I was working at a health food store in Ottawa and
going to school to become a Holistic Nutritionist akin to my sincere intention
to help people to feel more empowered around their diet and lifestyle choices.
I have also always had this passion for cooking; you can ask my mom and she'll
show you the picture of me at 2 years old, literally covered in flour wanting
to help make the pizza dough! With my passion for good quality food and my
curious nature I ended up buying a dehydrator second hand and a good
masticating juicer and started transforming some of the foods that I had in my
fridge and cupboards into dehydrated raw(a.k.a. 'living') food snacks ...and
trust me, this was a learning process! But with great vigilance,
determination, curiosity and pleasure I carried on to create some healthy and
tasty concoctions.
I started bringing some of my creations to the Canadian Ashram in the
winter of 2009 for Guruji's visit to raise money for my TTC. It was so
exciting!....I remember clearing the path of snow going up to Guruji's kutir on
the day he was to arrive when a hand-full of people came saying "he'll be here
in 15 minutes!" I immediately ran as fast as I could back to Issa to make up a
beautiful variety tray of all the nice treats I had made, and ran back to the
kutir hoping I hadn't missed his arrival. To my pleasant surprise many of my
best friends from Halifax had just arrived were sitting down waiting for Him to
come! I was so happy and excited; the anticipation of Gurji's arrival is
always intense!
After a short while, which seemed like hours, Guruji arrived to a crowd of
ecstatic singing devotees! He noticed my tray on the table and found
everything very interesting, asking "who made these things?" ..and there I was
giddy as anything unable to produce any words, Kailash responded: "Jeffrey made
that for you Guruji?" All I could do was laugh! The next day He came into Issa
and I stood behind me display table hoping he would come over. Sure enough he
came! He told me that what I am doing is very nice, then, as mischievous as as
he is, he snook a piece of fruit leather into his hand, folded it up and popped
it into his mouth right in front of everyone! I have no words to describe how
that felt- everyone screamed and laughed and continued to follow Him while I
was left in a cloud of amazement.
The week went on and everyone one was deep into the silence, seva, and our
amazing satsangs with the Master. On the day Guruji was leaving for Germany I
received a message from Swamiji that Guruji has requested me to make a package
of my raw foods to take with him to the German Ashram. Once again, I was
thrilled! I speedily prepared to go to the kutir and made m way through the
crowd. I got Guru Darshan an excitedly gave him the package then waited by the
side of the room for everyone to pass through the line. Once the room cleared
out to some degree Guruji asked if anyone wanted a picture, and of course I had
been waiting and wishing badly to get a picture with him. A lady and her
children went up, got a picture, then the floor all around him was clear and
the room was so silent. "This is my chance" -I though. He asked again, and I
said "Can I have a picture with you Guruji?" "Yes, come, come" was his
response. I saw the package of food I had given him and grabbed it. "...with
the food?" Guruji, as clever as he is, said: "With the food hey? Good for
marketing, no?!" Everyone just cracked up!! I was as happy as I have ever
been, and just when you think things can't get any better...they do - As I was
getting up he said to me that he would have to bring me around to India,
Germany and many other places to make and teach people about raw food!
Now I am steadily producing my products and distributing them to health
food stores in the local region (Shawinigan) and Ottawa, and soon to expand to
Montreal and Quebec city. My goal now is to organize a Raw Food workshop and
detox weekend where people can come learn more about the benefits of
introducing more raw foods into their diet and how to stay balanced,
comfortable and respect your bodies limits. As for long term I plan on finding
more enthusiastic people who have a passion for live foods who would like to
help maintain and manage this operation while I travel to other ashrams to
teach people how to do the same things there.
