In Nov.,2009 history was created as Swami Madhusudanji walked across West
Bengal and Sikkim. Around 2,50,000 people were swept away as waves of divine
love and joy flowed across Sonar Banglar maati. Under the banner of
Anugrahotsav 29 padyatras took place over a span of 30 days.

Gangtok was hit by the divine storm of love and no less than 22,500 people were
blown over pleasantly, enriching their lives forever.

Thousands of people getting glued
to the divine presence. The inmates of Gangtok jail being
blessed by Swamiji.

of the divine soul. Padyatra in full action!

Swamiji's padyatra took him to the length and breadth of Kolkata and the
surrounding areas where around 90,000 people got blessed.

The saints around Kalighat temple too couldn't resist. People mesmerised in
the streets of Beliaghata.

Tourists in awe at the beauty of India and its saints. People of all religions
coming forward in the busiest areas of Kolkata- Howrah

Angels making their presence known in the slums of Anandpur. People's hope
rekindling in Raja Bazaar.

The streets of Salt Lake feeling the presence. Manicktala slum people
overjoyed.


The village of Nadia sprang up with devotion. Santoshpur streets were
overfilled with people.


The slums of Hastings witnessed the warmth. Profound love felt in Behala.

Around 1,42,200 people were blessed in North Bengal which included Siliguri,
Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Kurseong, Maynaguri...

Subject: Art of Living 'transforms' juvenile delinquents

Mumbai: A group of volunteers of a spiritual organisation founded by Sri Sri
Ravi Shankar, Art of Living, has succeeded in transforming the juvenile
delinquents at the Boys' Observation Home in Shivajinagar, Pune.

Though the NGO had organised its Bal Chetna and Nav Chetna courses for these
children earlier, they did not have much impact. "Merely conducting the
workshops was not enough. We then decided to start daily follow-ups, as
suggested by the authorities," said Nitin Pradhan, a coordinator of the group.

"These children used to have violent fights, and at least 3-4 boys would escape
from the home each month. They were always on the lookout for an opportunity to
run away," said MN Sonawane, superintendent of the observation home.

The results started becoming apparent four months ago when the teenagers, 46 of
them, attended the Nav Chetna course. They were taught ramdhyan, pranayam and
satsang. "Earlier, it was impossible to control these children. They used to
become restless and would constantly fight among themselves. But we worked hard
for two months. Their warden, who used to stand in the hall with a cane in her
hand, did not require it after a couple of weeks," said Pradhan.

Such has been the transformation that the children now look forward to the
daily dhyan and satsang. "The running away stopped completely in October. They
have become quieter and observe the daily routine with discipline. They have
developed a bond with the volunteers as they feel cared for. The effectiveness
of these workshops will be further proved once we rehabilitate them back into
the society. We conduct various short-term courses like candle, paper bag, and
chalk-making for them. One volunteer suggested that they should be trained as
plumbers and electricians. We are considering the suggestion," said Sonawane.

Their rehabilitation of these kids is essential because they tend to fall back
into bad company. They also involve other youngsters from their area in
criminal activities. This will stop if they start earning and realising the
benefits of a positive way of life, Sonawane said. The observation home is now
in talks with another NGO, which imparts vocational training for free to
children from weaker sections of society.

Encouraged by the results, the Yerawada Boys' Observation Home, which was in
the news recently as the children had escaped in hordes from there, has also
invited the AOL volunteers to conduct these courses at their home.

Today's sunrise bought the charming members of the Art of living parivar Dhule
in hoards to Krishna Garden in the early morning mist and our no of
participants reached 600. Particpants also arrived from Dondaicha, Shahda,
Kalwan, Shirpur & Pimpalner.

A meeting of teachers and volunteers with Shri Mahesh Gireeji yesterday night
gave the first glimpse of the arrival of this most powerpacked, charismatic AOL
teacher. This meeting gave us a tinkling that Wake-up Shake-up will be highly
amazing and unique programme that Dhule will ever witness.

Arrival of Hon. Shri Mahesh Gireeji was saluted by applause from one and all.
This applause lasted for nearly 30 minutes only after that overwhelmed Mahesh
Gireeji could be felicitated. Most of us present had the first experience of
seeing a honoured ,record creator our beloved AOL teacher Mahesh Gireeji in our
own land and this filled there heart with gratitude and surprise. The
simplicity with which Maheshji accepted our applause on his arrival was
terrific and set the ball rolling for the day.

"Wake-up Shake-up" as it is a highly motivational program for teachers and
volunteers to channelize the energy in the right path and achieve there goals
in personal and social life. The simplicity with which Shri Mahesh Gireeji
explains the concepts of life and path to be followed in life is just
marvelous. The short punch lines given by him are such that participants will
not forget them for the rest of his life. Maheshji presents concepts in the
form that they can be applied straight to practical situations in ones own
life. This makes ones life more simple and useful for the society he lives in.

Subject: My first prison course

Oregon Prison SMART rocks! We hosted the US PS Coordinator last week to come
assist us in setting up an ambitious program to work every day in the prison
with the same group of inmates and staff for a year.
I am the newest person on the team: veterans Shyam, Poornima, Janardhan, Beth,
Dar and David have been doing courses at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility for
over two years.
I had no idea what to expect! I did my basic course in April 2007, and have
taken Sahaj, DSN, and Part 2 since then. I was very excited to assist in in the
prison with David and Gabriella.
We had over a dozen women in medium security start the 5 day program with us.
Over the week the women found such relief and deep experience of bliss that
their faces literally changed.
It was great working with David and Gabriella and I got a much deeper
experience of Guriji's knowledge and tecniques after assisting on the course. I
loved it! I feel empowered and grateful.I would say if you have any interest in
assisting Prison SMART, just do it! I recommend contacting Gabriella or David

in the Gracious Presence of
Swami Sri Madhusudanji

in Kolkata-(Part 2), West Bengal in Nov., 2009.

Only the Divine's chosen ones prepared for boarding the heavenly flight of
"Anugrahotsav Airlines". The pilot being none other than Swami
Madhusudanji, himself – the divine soul, sent by Guruji to reawaken faith in
all. The crew members were our own dedicated teachers and volunteers who worked
together for the devoted journeys, for days, covering the Slums of Hastings,
the Streets of Behala, Santoshpur & Barrackpore, the Village of Nadia and one
of the busiest areas of Kolkata-Howrah.

To enliven the celebration flavour of Bengal, the atmosphere reveraberated with
the beat of the Dhaks (country made drums of Bengal) & the volunteers held
placards announcing the holy beginning of the movement – Bhakti ki Lahar. The
masses felt the divinity and were spellbound by the deep experiences and the
profound love that touched them. And thereafter, all the passengers reached the
destination with a sense of fullfilment & spiritual enrichment.

No one wanting to miss this Divine chance-Santoshpur Devotion springing up
instantly.

Feeling the God sent Messiah. The disabled feeling relief in the Hastings
slums.

The streets witnessing the Presence. Ready to surrender by his one look.

Howrah- receiving blessings. The slum people overjojed.
With respect and gratitude. Noone was allowed to be missed-not even the
gamblers.
Barrackpore left in awe. Nadia village- not wanting to leave him.
A young Sportsperson shared that her right ear had been paining her
tremendously for the last three days. She had had 8 pain killers, yet
couldn't sleep, eat or speak. Just after the blessing her pain miraculously
disappeared leaving her with no words.

A young boy of 17 yrs shared that the experience left him with only Bliss and
Bliss only.

A lady in the village shared that she felt as if she has merged with him- the
Divine.

Another man in the village of Nadia felt he got a Glimpse of Divine.

A man in Howrah shared, Inspite of me being a muslim I took his blessings and
felt the peace within. I really respect Swamiji.

People of all religions coming forth. All loving it.

The angels showing themselves in this auspicious moment. All bending in respect
and gratitude in front of the Divine aura.

The aged feeling hope and security. The crowds speaking of our success!

Today's sunrise bought the charming members of the Art of living parivar Dhule
in hoards to Krishna Garden in the early morning mist and our no of
participants reached 600. Particpants also arrived from Dondaicha, Shahda,
Kalwan, Shirpur & Pimpalner.

A meeting of teachers and volunteers with Shri Mahesh Gireeji yesterday night
gave the first glimpse of the arrival of this most powerpacked, charismatic AOL
teacher. This meeting gave us a tinkling that Wake-up Shake-up will be highly
amazing and unique programme that Dhule will ever witness.

Arrival of Hon. Shri Mahesh Gireeji was saluted by applause from one and all.
This applause lasted for nearly 30 minutes only after that overwhelmed Mahesh
Gireeji could be felicitated. Most of us present had the first experience of
seeing a honoured ,record creator our beloved AOL teacher Mahesh Gireeji in our
own land and this filled there heart with gratitude and surprise. The
simplicity with which Maheshji accepted our applause on his arrival was
terrific and set the ball rolling for the day.

"Wake-up Shake-up" as it is a highly motivational program for teachers and
volunteers to channelize the energy in the right path and achieve there goals
in personal and social life. The simplicity with which Shri Mahesh Gireeji
explains the concepts of life and path to be followed in life is just
marvelous. The short punch lines given by him are such that participants will
not forget them for the rest of his life. Maheshji presents concepts in the
form that they can be applied straight to practical situations in ones own
life. This makes ones life more simple and useful for the society he lives in.

The most powerpacked day with Mahesh Gireeji has left most us to rekindle our

Art of Living Know Your Child Course Director Muralidhar Koteshwar will be
giving 4 Facilitator Training Courses across the US this January.

The Art of Living Know Your Child Workshop gives parents practical tips to help
children ages 0 −12 to:

· Enhance their creativity

· Improve focus and concentration in their studies

· Be independent and responsible

· Feel more free, natural and emotionally healthy

We are training more facilitators in order to spread this wisdom to more
parents in the U.S. You need not be a parent to become a Know Your Child
Facilitator, simply a love of Guruji and a desire to help. It is a great way
to spread Guruji's knowledge to parents who have not yet done AOL courses.

Know Your Child Facilitator Training (2 days, 8 hours per day)

· Learn to teach the 2-hour Know Your Child Workshop

· Learn to teach 1-hour stress-free teaching session to educators

· Prerequisites: Art of Living Course, Art of Silence Course, DSN
–or teacher's recommendation

As you are all aware, Guruji has envisioned establishing a unique University at
Cuttack, Orissa. The Orissa Government has already given possession of a land
of 185 acres near the Narraj Baraj, in the Bidyadharpur village in Cuttack
District, overlooking the Katjyodi river.

The Orissa Legislative Assembly has already passed the Sri Sri University Bill
and we are waiting for its notification in the official gazzate by end of this
year.

We have already started some initial construction activities at our site. The
first classes in Management, Osteopathy, Naturopathy, Ayurveda and Agriculture,
are slated to commence by July 2010. The University when fully implemented, is
expected to cater to about 15000 children in campus and about 5000 faculty and
other support staff.

The plans for the implementation of the University is in full swing. On 18th
and 19th of December, we have taken a major step forward with four renowned
architects presenting their concepts of the proposed university. The
architects who participated in this concept design competition are:

1. Shri Shirish Beri from Shrish Beri & Associates, Kolhapur
2. Shri Jaisimji from Jaisim-Fountainhead, Bangalore
3. Shri Amit Bose from DDF Consultants Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi
4. Shri Shripal Munshi from Shripal & Venkat Associates, Chennai

We had excellent presentations from these architects in alignment with Guruji's
grand vision of Reliving the Nalanda Experience, and making India once again
the centre of learning and excellence. We expect that we will be able to
commence construction of the main campus by May/June, 2010.

We invite everyone to join us in creating the history in whatever way one can.
Every bit is welcome either in kind, cash, participation or in any other manner
that is possible.

Living, inspired by Guruji's grand vision is coming up near Bhubaneshwar in
Orissa. Sri Sri University is conceptualized with a vision to establish an

selection of Vice-Chancellor (VC) has been initiated. An ideal candidate for
the post should have the following qualifications:

Mandatory Qualifications:

Doctorate in any discipline and good academic record
Minimum 15 years' experience in teaching and research
Minimum of five research publications in international journals
Execution of at least one major research project with proper delivered results

Desired Qualifications:

Five years' administrative experience in a large educational organization
Experience of working with international bodies
Experience of organizing events, such as workshops, seminars at international
level
Demonstrated experience in inspirational leadership
Spiritual Inclination

Preferential Additional qualifications:

Equal measure of Academic Brilliance and Administrative capacity
Existing VC may be preferred. However, senior professors/deans/HODs may also
be considered.
Excellent working skills in Hindi and local language Oriya shall be an added
advantage
Persons from Orissa or having long domicile there
A VC with a University start-up experience

Compensation shall be as per UGC scale. For right candidates with higher
credentials, compensation package shall not be a limiting factor.

It is such an illusion – you dislike someone or something, and this only
makes you hard and your hardness takes a long time to soften, to disappear. It
is such a trap for keeping you away from the treasure. Nothing in this material
world can give you contentment. An outer-looking mind seeking for contentment
gets discontented and the discontentment grows, and complaints and negativity
start hardening the brain, clouding the awareness (the aura), and forming a
huge cloud of negative energy. When the negativity reaches its peak, like an
overloaded balloon, it bursts and comes back to the Divinity. You can never
escape the Divine, the long route of negativity, or the instantaneous positive
approach. When the Divinity dawns, in no time the shift happens from the
untruth to truth, from darkness to light, from the dull inert matter to the
sparkling spirit. When the heart is hard, there is no fun. You cannot
experience fun.

Subject: Fantastic Sri Sri Yoga Courses at Dallas with Shriram

"It very easy to become a Yoga instructor but very very few become true Yogis"

This statement was very much exemplified by Shriram Sarvotham this weekend in
Dallas. We had two fantastic concurrent Sri Sri Yoga (SSY) courses (full to
capacity) with Shriram Sarvotham in Dallas this past weekend. Shriram is an
epitome of discipline and commitment and has demonstrated it by not missing a
single day of Sadhana comprising of Yoga Asanas for the past 18 years. Each one
of the participants were greatly inspired by his depth of knowledge, his single
pointed focus and commitment. His clarity and the description of the postures
were so precise that we didn't even have to open our eyes to follow any of the
postures. Each day he went over some of the Sutras from the Patanjali's Yoga
Sutras in greater depth and they in turn deepened our experience of the
Aasanas. Honestly, I felt like I just completed a Part 2 course after
completing SSY. Of course, some of the anecdotes shared by Shriram related to
his life as a serious Yoga practitioner have been truly inspiring and you have
to hear it from him....

The Sri Sri Yoga course is a perfect combination of Aasanas, Pranayamas,
Meditation and knowledge from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The depth in my daily
home practice has gone up several notches by incorporating the SSY sequence of
postures.
