Subject: Magnificent Sharings & Super-Successful ONS Global Marathon!
Dearest Ones,
What was the brainchild of one person, Neepa, in Pune, snowballed to traverse
the globe, and the Pune 24 Hour Om Namah Shivaya chanting (from August 13-14th,
4 AM-4 AM, India Time) was a massive success. The numbers and e-mails keep
pouring in to inform us of who and how many chanted where, but as of now, and
these may be undercounted and are only the announced people -- at least 64
people in Saudi Arabia, over 140 in the United States of America, 2 in Canada,
3 in Kuwait, 1 in United Arab Emirates, over 40 in India (outside of Pune), 2
in Dubai, and who knows where else creatively and collectively, individually
and intensively, participated. One group did a homa; some, additionally left
on a 24 hour ONS CD; many chanted 2 hours; outside of Pune, where people could
come in groups - people brought large numbers together to chant; people chanted
with their family members and more. The experience of all of us has been
mindblowing. Many people are now e-mailing to let us know of how the chanting
has utterly transformed their lives and to share grace experiences! Many have
decided to incorporate the ONS chanting into their daily routines now! For me,
observing and being in the midst of so much love and blessings that the world
poured out to the suffering has been so utterly divine that no words could ever
convey. Pune people and AOL satsangees in Pune who organized and participated
in this now global phenomenon find this to "warm the cockles of the heart to
see the outpouring of support." An unofficial, volunteer-led activity - one
person's sankalpa, this "spiritual marathon" has allowed all the rest of us to
partake in something so big, so useful, and so uplifting. I thank Pune and
even the H1N1 virus for giving all of us this opportunity to come together and
unite. So utterly effortlessly and beautifully, sangadchadvam and vasudhaiva
kutumbukam have taken on deeper, live meanings. Pune is now considering to
continue their project on a lighter scale, daily after witnessing this global
energy and love! Inspiration to Inspiration.

"Although, I did this small seva for me and therefore, feel I should be the one
thanking you for creating this opportunity for me to do some fun seva. Life
has been very tough for me lately so as soon as I heard about this simple
project I felt it was important for me to play a part in it in order to get out
of my own funk.

"It was an awesome thing happened and even for me I needed that too. And how
powerful it is also. I couldn't chant 30 minutes continuously as it was as
powerful as kriya, so I have to meditate and start again. I did twice and put a
om namashivaya cd also. Now on I am going to do every day with my kriya now.
My husband had a surgery and day before and I think that energy helped me to go
through and helped him to heal faster. Guruji is just awesome do things for a
reason."
"Jai gurudev. Thanks for giving an opportunity to be part of the ONS marathon.
After 2 half hour sessions, i realized that i could really do it.( I was not
sure i could complete it when i started off) At the end of the chanting,
meditation was so effortless. it doesn't really matter who initiated this, what
is important is we all come together for a common cause in times of need."
"I did OM NAMAH SHIVAYA chanting for more than 2 hrs ( not continuously ) .
Yes, very amazing !! Thank you for giving me an opportunity to participate in
the marathon ! Anyway I decided to do it everyday at least for 108 times."
"My wife and I did about 1/2 hour each of Om Namah Shivaya chanting this
evening. It was a very beautiful experience after and I must say that I have
never felt so complete after the chanting. Thank you for sending us the link to
be able to participate in the Seva for Pune..."

Tears of joy are coming in my eyes now, again -- all the knowledge, all the
seva, all the sadhana, the satsang, and the smile, and the surrender -- how it
merges beautifully and synergistically!!! You just have to experience it.
Each one of us is so powerful and what else are we here to do with our time on
the planet? May Happiness, Health, Joy, and Peace Manifest in Each of Your
Lives.
