[esatsang] Esatsang digest for Aug 18 2009

There is a song deep inside you. You are born to sing a song and you are
preparing. You are moving around in the stage with your dresses, but you are
forgetting to sing---holding the mike, too, but you are keeping silent. 'Til
that time, you'll be restless---until you can sing that song which you have
come on the stage to sing. Doesn't matter if you feel a little out of tune for
one minute or two. Go ahead. Sing.

Subject: Krishna's birthday celebration at ashram

Jai Gurudev,
The newly enhanced yagnashala was brimming with beauty, a little more than its
usual. Amidst that huge stage, grabbed my attention a nice little swing.
Actually, I could not see the swing. I am guessing it's probably somewhere
deep inside that golden yellow decoration. Just like love. Just because you
cant see , it does not mean its not there .
But that swing was too big for a new born. Hello, organizers what are you
planning for? And yet, when time arrived, the newborn just managed to fill the
entire swing. Its looked custom made for him. Wonder! Rather wonderful sight!
What more can I tell about that golden yellow seat. All colors just looked bit
more shy but all radiating. And I am able to appreciate their combinations as
well. The golden yellow was nicely combined with bright red and peppered with
some glass reflections. What surprised me though was even at this early stage
of Krishna's life, devotees in thousands from dwarka had assembled at the
venue. Upon further enquiry, they were here on a part-2 (advanced course)
mission.
We got the first sight of the newborn and it was Aho! The newborn was more than
5 feet clad in a white dhoti. Crowns came from every corner and all through the
programme. But each crown stayed on his head for few seconds before the next
one took its place. That many crowns but all were temporary. It reminds me of
the circus fellow who juggles few hats and puts it on his head and its time for
the next one!
The celebrations began with 2 little girls dancing in bharatanatyam style to
"Alaipayuthe.." (Classical song), and then to everybody's wish baby
Krishna spoke some amazing knowledge.
We are celebrating lord Krishna's 5139st birthday. He lived for 125 years.
Krishna is not a vyakti(person) but shakti(energy). People think I am in human
form, but I am inhuman (pun intended) ;-)I am ananta shakti. Those who see me
in others and others in me are never far away from me. I will be with them
always. All navarasas were present in Krishna. There was none before like him
and … (guruji was about to complete the sentence with "none after". But I
sent a thought wave that guruji, you are here and you cant say none after. So
he managed to pull off the remaining sentence in silence). He was such a
naughty one. Swamiji on stage informed us later that we should enquire with
pitaji (guruji's father) as to how naughty guruji himself was/is. He said
Krishna was poorna kala avataran. Translated, it says Krishna is a complete
incarnation.
Krishna is consciousness. The purpose of celebration is to realize that Krishna
is in me and not different. To know Krishna you have to become either Radha or
Arjun or Uddhav. They symbolize different kinds of people who can reach
Krishna. Radha is a premi ( stands for love), Arjun is a dukhi (stands for
sorrow) and Uddhav is a gyani (stands for wisdom). Arjun was not sad for
himself but for the world. This is man's nature. What can I do to others?
There is a song in tamil "kakkai siraginile…" where a crow and its black
color reminds the author about Krishna. Wherever I see, I am seeing you only.
That's the essence of this beautiful song from bharathiar(tamil poet who
penned this song).
Krishna said, "Become a Yogi". Guruji then continued that Krishna is happy
to see so many yogis [ there were thousands sitting in front of guruji. I could
see that guruji was so happy ;-) ]. You all did pranayam, meditation etc.,
today. Krishna is so happy. It's a great way to celebrate (doing yoga).
Don't get scared in life. Be purposeful to others. Krishna never scolded
arjuna. He kept praising him. [I lost some words here. Guruji said the word
bharat was mentioned in the dialogue between them . bharat means different
sampanti. Prathibhasha.-- I am unable to translate/understand]
Arjuna was always uplifted because of the praise. Arjuna was talking foolish
things to Krishna but still Krishna kept praising and uplifting arjuna. He said
my dear arjuna "All qualities are in you already".
Krishna was born at 12 am. All organs are sleeping at that time. Inside, an
awareness dawns. That's Krishna. Devaki is the body and vasudev is the
prana/breath. Out of the two was born Anand (Bliss) – Krishna. 8 vikrutis
disappeared before he was born and 8 shaktis were born before. And then the
body (jail) opens up. Its all symbolic. The river yamuna is a representation of
Love Essence (Prem Ras) and it overflowed when Krishna was born and the river
settled only after touching divine feet of krishna. Contentment is not reached
until transformation happens. All these have deep meaning. The story gives
different meanings depending on your age. For kids there is something to learn
and for adults there is something to learn. And even the wise learn something
from the story. It has so much completeness.
And, now back to this lifetime where naughtiness prevailed over wisdom. He was
dancing on the stage and all of us went crazy. Gifts were pouring in from all
corners and he was taking them in his own inimitable style. His style alone
made everyone crazy let alone his smile. He even commented that the pots that
are supposed to contain curd/butter are now having chocolates. He seemed to be
totally amused by this concept. He took a small child with him and attempted to
break the pot. The pot did not break. Guruji dealt some 25 blows to it and
still it did not budge. Some really strong pots they are! Just when we thought
it's all over, he unveiled violet clothing. Beneath that was a cute little
cradle. It was rocking forward and backward just like my mind. Only he has the
ability to bring it to center. And finally he did a spontaneous dandia dance in
front of us before he disappeared. He must be so tired. After all he was born
today.
Love
Balsree
