What is 'Know your Child' workshop
(Though the name does not leave much need for explanation.) More than
knowing your child, this workshop is like paying a visit to the child inside
you. The part of you which smiles spontaneously, has no fears or
insecurities and embodies disarming simplicity in life.
Being enthusiastic and stress free is natural to the child; but for the
parents to preserve that quality in the child, they better know what causes
it to go away in the process of growing up. That knowledge is what the KYC
gives which is a 'two hour' interactive workshop for parents to help them
understand children better. KYC does a root cause analysis of child's
behavioural patterns and challenges in parenting and equips them with the
knowledge to help them in dealing with their children and allowing them to
blossom to their full potential.

Subject: Sangeeta Didi begins Gyan Yagnya with 300+ people.........
On Sunday nite the Gyan Yagna (MEGA course) began in south bay with a big
bang.
The huge hall was packed with 300+ people. As the clock ticked 4:45 PM
Participants started coming. The first set of participants (a couple) came
almost 2 hours early to ensure that they get the place in the first row.
Wow!!!!! And, after that people started pouring in. It was ocean full of
people.
It was such a display of the flow of GRACE. And, Sangeeta Didi (epitome of
love, divine mother.... started spreading her fragrance of love to each and
every participant on the course ). She started the course and instantly all
heads and hearts were captivated. Such a divine sight, seeing so many people
receiving the highest knowledge from someone so wonderful as Didi. Its just
.... Wow, (......in lack of better words). Around 30 teachers have been
assisting on this course.
Yesterday all the participants completed the first sudarshan kriya and their
experiences are just beyond words. Some of the participants are already
inquiring on how to become Teachers :-) .
On the leg work side, the entire organizing team did an excellent work in
organizing the course, reaching out to the people, flyering, postering,
Radio interviews, advertisements, booths, intro talk and what not. And, they
are doing a stellar job, taking care of participants. Teachers, DSNers, and
the entire AOL family----all have come together and worked so hard to make
this wonderful project a success.
So many wonderful and strong new leaders and Seva Warriors emerged during
last
4 weeks. It is such a wonderful display of team spirit, belongingness,
undying enthusiasm, indomitable spirit and dynamism with the single aim of
serving humanity and bringing light into so many lives.
We feel so fortunate and grateful for being a part of such a wonderful team
and project. Please congratulate them when you see them next time.

Subject: Youth Empowerment Summer Camp starts SOON in Canada!!!
There are less than two weeks left to register for the YES! Summer Camp at
the Canadian Ashram.
This summer, students from across North America will come together at the
Art of Living centre in Quebec, Canada to build leadership skills while
enjoying the outdoors, building friendships, and having a blast!
We will be embarking on a 3 day camping trip in Parc National de la Mauricie
where we will do some canoeing, hiking, swimming, and learning about the
outdoors. We are also taking a trip to Mellville Island to go rock climbing
and conquer our fears on the ropes course. Most importantly we will get to
spend two unforgettable weeks in an amazing environment at the Art of Living
Centre where we will get to relax and have fun and make new friends!

With this philosophy in mind The Art of Living Foundation has a rural school
named Vedh Vigyan Maha Vidyapeeth on Kanakpura Road . It started with 30
children in 1981 and today it has 2000 students belonging to 51 nearby
villages. Most students are first generation in their families to receive
education. These economically underprivileged students are not only provided
with quality holistic education for free but also are provided with daily
lunch, uniforms, notebooks etc. The students are educated from LKG till
tenth and recently the tenth batch had a 100% pass percentage.
This is the story of the first school. Today there are 110 such schools in
various rural and even tribal areas educating over 10000 students.

Guru Puja is a thanksgiving ceremony remembering all the ancient rishis,
seers, sages who have brought this knowledge of self.
