'KNOW YOUR CHILD WORKSHOP'
Children are often called a gift from God and it is the pride of every couple
to become parents and be able to shower their love on their children. The child
slowly starts imbibing things from the environment around it and within some
time starts expressing ideas that it has acquired from observation. In the
first few years, big parts of the environment are the parents and teachers.
However, because there is a fundamental difference between the perspectives of
a child and an adult, it results in parents reporting some of the following.
a) He does not listen to me
b) He jumps around and breaks many things
c) She does not eat properly
d) Children are just glued to the TV all the time
e) She is just not interested in studies
It can be quite frustrating for parents to deal with such behaviour and on the
other hand the child feels he/she is not understood. Over several years the
quality of the relationship deteriorates. We observe a lack of closeness in
youngsters and parents today in most families.
Know Your Child (KYC) is a two hour interactive workshop for parents to help
them understand children better. KYC does a root cause analysis of child's
behavioural patterns and equips them with the knowledge to help them in dealing
with their children and allowing them to blossom to their full potential. These
inputs are also very vital in preserving the beauty of the parent child
relationship as the child grows up to adolescent and adulthood.

Subject: Jaded to Joyful Mumbaikar!!! Sri Sri Yoga Mega Crse - Parel TT, Mumbai
The Sri Sri Yoga Mega Crse commenced on 16th April '10 with the ever smiling,
vivacious Kamleshji at the St Xaviers football Ground, Parel TT. There are
nearly 500 participants and this is the first time that an event of this size
took place in that area. This is an area of Mumbai where predominantly mill
workers live. While doing seva, we were surprised to find that many had not
even heard about Art of Living or our beloved Guruji. For the seva team, it was
a great joy to introduce the Guru to them. More than half the participants had
never done any Art of Living Course before.
The participants were surprised that Yoga can be such fun! It was nice to see
the usual careworn, impatient, mechanical and jaded Mumbaikar change to a
smiling, eager, energetic and enthusiastic human being in just a few hours.
Kamleshji weaved her magic with the participants and they are totally charmed
by her. There is a wonderful sense of lightness, joy and bonhomie in the air.
Patients from a nearby Cancer Hospital peep from their windows. The local
football coach too cannot stay away and is completely intrigued by such a fun
filled happy crowd. The clouds in the sky too, very obligingly cover the sun
and protect the crowd from the scorching heat.
Participants enjoyed the simplicity with which Kamleshji took them through the
asanas. Doing the asanas in a group was much more fun. They played the games
like children. Kamleshji's talk on food entralled the participants. She did am
impromptu Himachalee dance and explained why people from Himachal dance that
way. If you want to know why, you can arrange her Course in your
area............ :)
