The World Culture Festival at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin will see people
from all cultures and religious backgrounds coming together and celebrating
harmony in diversity - making a clear statement that a violence free stress
free world is more than just a dream - it's a reality.
The Art of Living Greece is taking an olive branch, ancient symbol of peace,
from Delphi to Berlin. The words 'Know Thyself', written at the entrance
at Delphi, have been taught so effectively by the Art of Living over the
last thirty years.
On May 21st and 22nd people from all across the world are coming to Delphi
to enjoy the peace and harmony of this ancient spiritual center. At an
ancient Greece ritual, beautifully choreographed and performed by AOL
teacher Areti Karantzikou and her talented group, the journey of the olive
branch of peace will begin. This symbolic journey will start in Delphi and
end in the Olympic Statium in Berlin on July 2, 2011.
At a sunset satsang, with breathtaking views across the ancient site, it
will be meditation and the wise words of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that will send
this branch on its way. On Sunday morning there will be a sunrise Sudarshan
Kriya and visitors can tour the site itself and learn the spiritual links
between ancient and modern and the knowledge taught so skilfully by the Art
of Living today.
The festival in Berlin will be a colourful parade of cultures. African
drums, Asian music, American singers - sights and sounds from all around our
world. Art of Living Greece promises to make a dramatic contribution with
this dramatic presentation of the olive branch from Delphi, the center of
the ancient world.

LET'S ALL SAY YES! TO LIFE
Recently, In the presence of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji,
10,000 youngsters and 3,000 educationists marked the beginning of a
movement (in Kolhapur, Maharashtra) that is bound to bring stillness
and clarity amongst the enthusiastic and energetic youth of our nation
and those of the world.
Yes! To Life was a gathering of young children, teenagers and the
youth taking a pledge against the evils of corruption, pollution,
smoking, alcohol and drugs and female foeticide - together taking a
vow to organize more ART Excel, Yes and Yes Plus courses in their
respective schools and colleges in order to help spread this message
of joy and freedom.
After an hour long presentation and engaging games for the students,
conducted by Shreya Chugh, Nikhil Agarwal and rocking bhajans by
Namita Malik, the event was graced by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji and the
loud cheers of those around.
The applause soon settled with Gurudev conducting the most beautiful
and innovative meditation which finally paved way for silence and
equanimity. Then, came the questions, which Gurudev answered with a
gentle smile or a slight sway of his hand, all the while encouraging
the audience to embrace a Yes attitude towards life.
The RAPID FIRE round was exhilarating ! His one liners left the
students in a complete WOW!

Success - that is obvious of intelligence

Wedding - that brought u here

Google - thats beyond the goggles

Exams - the burden of student life
Attitude - the real educated will do away with
Yoga - smartness
Spirituality - vitality and vibrance

Homework - i was lazy to do
Terrorism - that everybody needs to fight with and Utter ignorance
Commitment - that which keeps the life happy
Disco - ive never been to one
In order to fossilize this special day, the students left a mark with
their handprints on a 500-metre long canvas, to pledge against
corruption, pollution, Addictions (smoking, Alcohol, Drugs) Female
foeticide.
At the end of the session, Dr. Arun Jamkar, Vice Chancellor, MUHS
(Maharashtra University for Health Science) took a vow to make the Yes
Plus course compulsory in 300 medical colleges of Maharashtra, making
this beginning a fruitful one for thousands of students who are yet to
join the Art of Living family.
A big cheers to the team of teachers - Neha Hidadugi, Sanjay Gulabani,
Ajay Killedar , Nikhil Agarwal, Neha Agarwal, and Varsha Patil, the
volunteers, the advisors (Dimple Gajwani and Dr. Rajashree Patil),
Maharashtra Apex Shri Shekhar Mundada and NJ Pawar, Vice Chancellor,
Shivaji University for their constant support and encouragement to
make this event a stepping stone for many more to come.
