Warm greetings from Ashram HR
Our Ashram in Bangalore has been built by many pairs of hands. Over the
years
thousands of people have contributed to the ashram in many direct and
indirect
ways. This place is not just made up of brick and mortar. A lot of love,
devotion and resolve have gone into building it. We may not know all of
these
people; we may never know what all they did. But we can be certain that they
did whatever they did without expecting anything in return. The ashram is a
pulsating monument of collective participation in the spirit of service for
almost three decades now and many more to come.
Every year we see this very spirit of service in full bloom during Navratri.
The entire place resonates with vedic chants and Guruji Himself demonstrates
the depth of silence. This atmosphere of deep meditation exists in harmony
with
frenzied activity simultaneously. A world of complete opposites reveals
itself
in this place at this time. The hectic pace with which work happens here has
to
be seen to be believed and participating in this activity is memorable
largely
because of that. It is a great joy and blessing to be a part of the great
phenomenon that our annual Navratri celebrations are and we are very happy
to
invite sevaks for the same this year.
Please bear the following in mind for seva in Navratri 2010 at Bangalore
Ashram.
1. The duration for which sevaks are invited is from 3rd to 24th
October,
2010.
2. The Ashram is looking for committed, mentally & physically strong
volunteers.
3. The Seva is really demanding, sometimes you might have to miss
Satsang
or Homa (Puja) because of Seva.
4. We are also looking for Doctors (General practitioners) with basic
medicines & first-aid kit.
5. The Ashram expects volunteers to take care of their to and fro
travel
expenses.
Please send us the following details through your local coordinator or apex
body:
1. Resume or bio-data (including age, gender and physical and mental health
condition) with email and phone contact
2. Valid Identity proof with photograph (Pan Card / Voter ID / Driving
License
)
3. Art of Living Courses undergone and assisted/taught (if AOL Teacher)
4. Reference of an Art of Living Teacher with their contact information and
teacher code
5. Languages known

Know Your Child Workshop
A conducive environment is essential for learning, especially for children.
For
a child, parents are the environment.
Children by nature are enthusiastic, joyful, loving, caring, stress free.
However, these qualities fade away as they grow up.
How do we preserve these qualities in our children?
Know Your Child (KYC) is a three-hour interactive workshop for parents to
help
understand their children better.
Often parents are found complaining of children aged between 1 to 12 years.

He/She does not listen to me

He/She does not eat properly
Children are just glued to the TV / Computer all the time
He/She is so stubborn. He/She just does not listen to me.

KYC does a root cause analysis of child's behavioural patterns and equips
parents with the knowledge to deal with them.
KYC workshop helps to

Spend Quality Time with your child
This knowledge helps the parents to deal with their children to enable them
to
blossom to their fullest potential.
It's recommended that parents come together for this workshop, however if

possible, then only father or mother can also attend.
