SAHAJ SAMADHI MEDITATION COURSE WITH MANJULA BANGA JI

ABOUT SHAHJ SAMADHI MEDITATION COURSE:
Sahaj is a Sanskrit word that means natural or effortless. Samadhi is a
deep, blissful, meditative state. Sahaj Samadhi meditation is a natural,
effortless system of meditation.
Regular practise of the technique can totally transform the quality of one's
life, by culturing the system to maintain the peace, energy and expanded
awareness throughout the day. These meditation techniques combined with
yogic practises can ensure good health and a calm mind.

Meditation allows the conscious mind to settle deeply in the Self, giving it
rest When the mind settles down, it lets go of all tension, making one
healthy and focused

How does Sahaj Samadhi meditation work?

The participant is taught to use a simple sound mentally which allows the
mind to settle down and go within. When the mind and nervous system are
allowed to repose a few moments in the profound silence, the blocks that
clog the system and our progress gradually dissolve.

How does reposing in the Self help in day-to-day life

When a river is calm, its reflection is clearer. When the mind is calm,
there is greater clarity in the field of expression. Our powers of
observation, perception and expression improve. As a result we are able to
communicate effectively and clearly.

Why do I need a mantra?

In Sanskrit, a mantra is described as, "Manana trayate iti mantra.". Iti
Mantra is that which saves you from repetitiveness. A repetitive thought is
a worry. Mantras help to free you from worries.

najuk.mehta@gmail.com A brief description. . .
"Bhajagovindam is a devotional composition in Sanskrit attributed to Adi
Shankaracharya where in the highest philosophy of Advaita is presented for
the novice as well as for the erudite scholar alike.
The practical examples make the concepts clear and the slokas are easy to
understand. The great philosopher Shankaracharya has shown his dexterity as
a great poet in this Stotram. The futility of worldly pursuit is brought to
the focus in the very first verse. The great value of "Satsang" and how it
ultimately leads to liberation in easy steps is sung . The universal greed
for wealth is depicted clearly and how it leads to destruction of the
individual is vividly painted. The cycle of birth and death of the body,
ultimately leads to dispassion and surrender. Shankara sings the unique role
of Gnana for liberation in one verse and in the other praises the path of
Devotion, thus catering to different personalities."

"Dakshinamurthy Stotram is another great composition of Adi Shankaracharya
where in the Advaitic principles are brought to the easy comprehension of
the common folk through simple examples. An incarnation of Knowledge, young
Dakshinamurthy, an Avatar of Lord Shiva, dispels the doubts of the old
disciples through silence, thus bringing the unique value of 'Presence'. An
understanding of both these works of Shankara help the aspirant to dive deep
into oneself and experience the bliss of One's Self!"
Out of all the hymns composed by Adi Shankara, Sri Dakshinamurthy Stotram is
the shortest but at the same time it is one of the most inspired works of
the great Advaitic philosopher. The stanzas are loaded with suggestions and
to dive deep into their rich depths, special training is necessary for the
aspirants. A strict pattern of thought development is observed in the ten
stanzas of this stotra which are like flowers of a garland of philosophical
thought, based on the Upanishads. The Upanishadic declaration that the
Brahman is the only reality and the world is delusory superimposition like a
snake on a rope is the main theme of this great work.

Subject: Art of Living and Living and Claiming My Dreamlife

This is email is a bit overdue. I concluded the AOL Course Part 1, and went
on to take the meditation course last 23rd of July with Sangeeta Kapoor. It
has been a beautiful and astounding experience for me. I cannot even begin
to imagine the joy, the love and the gratitude that I have in my heart. I
came to the course upon the gentle prodding of The Kanages--people who love
me unconditionally and have always seen a light in me that sometimes I fail
to see--eclipsed by the many challenges that come my way--spanning my life
of 33 years.

I have always sought the meaning of life, and especially more so when I
moved to Dubai in 2005. This place can alienate you from your self--and
desperate to find the balance, I pursued so many paths. I have been on a
great journey to finding my inner space, and I think I have found the right
door to knock and go into. I was enveloped in love the minute that I went
in. Nothing can touch my inner space, I realize that now, despite any
seeming difficulties. Resolution comes and comes in complete surrender to
the fact that there is a greater and wiser being out there, which we can at
any point in time tap. I didn't realize that the access lives within
me--through my breathing, through my kriya, through my prana.

I wish to share excerpts of the email I sent to the group I joined and did
the course with. Words have power, let mine permeate the spaces within the
Universe and create a ripple effect of all that is good, all that is
beautiful, and all that is ours to claim. Thank you for your work, thank
you for your teachers, thank you for the deep well of love you have made
available for people like me to draw from.

I did my kriya today and it was beautiful. A different experience alone,
but nonetheless beautiful. In my head, I was doing it with each and
everyone of you, in Sangeeta's living room, and I felt enveloped in love.
This has been such a beautiful experience and a gift to me by the Universe,
and I can only thank The Kanages for encouraging me unfailingly to take this
course.

When I was driving home today, I was thinking about the kriya--and thinking
about the importance of the 40-day practice. My mind was already coming up
with reasons on how difficult this would be, but a gentle voice stepped in
to say, "if you had asked God to tell you the secret to life, and he
responded by saying this is it, the daily practice of kriya, would you do
it? Would you commit to it?" My answer was a resounding yes. I have roamed
this earth looking for answers. My walls are lined up with books in an
attempt to better understand God and the Universe, to better understand me
and my role in it, to better understand the people I love, the people around
me--and I have never come across something that resonated with me like the
Art of Living Course. And I am so fortunate to have shared this experience
with all of you.

With all my love too,
Kristine
