The San Diego Art of Living family is happy to announce the first Art of
Silence Course of 2012 at the San Diego Art of Living Center with Dr. Bharti
Verma, one of the senior-most Art of Living teachers in North America & the
Vice-President of the Art of Living Foundation Canada.
The course begins on March 8th (at 6:30PM), and will conclude on March 11th
(at 5PM).
For those who don't know or may have forgotten, Bhartiji taught the Silence
course last May during the Memorial Day weekend, and what a course it was...
with close to 50 people attending and the amazing saadhana experienced by
all the attendees, capped off with some of the most delicious food prepared
by our very own San Diego sevaks. : )

Nature is replete with various rhythms and cycles - day follows night, night
follows day, seasons come and go. Similarly, there are biological rhythms to
our bodies, minds and emotions. When these rhythms are in sync, we feel a

The higher state of consciousness is somewhere in between the waking,
sleeping and dreaming states. Here, we know we "are" but we don't know
"where" we are. This knowledge that I "am," but I don't know "where" I am or
"what" I am, is called Shiva. This state gives the deepest possible rest
that one can experience. And one can achieve this through meditation.
Meditating is the delicate art of doing nothing:letting go of everything and
being who you are.
Mind in the present moment is meditation. A mind free and clear of agitation
is meditation.
Life has both ups and downs . Getting Over Excited / Depressed is an
imbalance for the system .
