(Examination of the pulse). It gives an idea of the patient's general
condition and the type of illness. It is a unique technique of diagnosing
disease. Nadi Pariksha helps to find the source of the disease and then
using natural treatment it eliminates the root cause and helps to
re-establish the harmony between the body, mind and Soul.
When an Ayurveda doctor examines the pulse he tries to discern the
information regarding the stages of vata, pitta, kapha (Tri doshas) and
other factors of diseases. The breed of nadi vaidyas (Ayurveda doctors) who
can diagnose a disease by examining the pulse is fast disappearing, probably
due to lack of expertise.
