Course Details :

In this course we shall be learning 500 names of Vishnu Sahasranama.

Vishnu Sahasranama means 1000 names of Vishnu/Narayana. Sahasra - 1000 ,
nama - name. It was composed by Sage Veda Vyasar as the names of Sri Vishnu
handed over to King Yudhishthira by the great Bhismacharya as a reply to 6
of Yudhishthira's most profound questions.

It is interesting to contemplate on the circumstances under which Sri Vishnu
Sahasranama Stotram came into existence. Yudhishthira , the eldest of the
five Pandavas, was mentally depleted because of the war with the Kauravas
and the misery of death and suffering that was created by the war in which
he had been a major player. Bhishma, his dear grandfather, was lying on his
deathbed.
With his passing away, his irreplaceable wisdom, based on the experiences of
his long life of virtue, righteousness and devotion, was about to be lost to
the world. Sage Vyasa and Sri Krishna advised Yudhishthira , who himself was
an epitome of righteousness and virtue, to seek the advice of Bhishma on any
and all aspects of life on which he had any doubts. Yudhishthira did as
advised, and a series of dialogs ensued between the two, witnessed by Lord
Krishna Himself, and by other great sages including Vedavyasa.
In one of these sessions, Yudhishthira sought Bhishma's advice on the
easiest and best means by which mankind can attain lasting happiness, peace
of mind, and relief from all bondage and sorrows. This was the setting in
which Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram was imparted, with the welfare of
future generations also in mind, by Bhishma to Yudhishthira , as part of the
advice given by Bhishma in response to the above question.


Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Narayana is the manifestation of Shiva tatva in the
human system. Shiva tatva is the un-manifest absolute; Narayana is the
manifestation of it. Like water vapor or humidity in the atmosphere, you
don't see it but when the clouds pour you see the rain. So water is Narayana
and the water vapor is Shiva tatva. That is why when you see Swamis and
Sanyasis or Yogis you say, 'Om Namo Narayana'.

competitive edge to all successful participants over others who have not
undergone the training. The Sudarshan KriyaR, a process unique to the Art of
Living, eliminates toxins from the system and clears the mind of stress,
negative emotions and mental blocks.

Participants will not only play a lot of interesting games, they will also
learn special breathing techniques, as well as tools to increase their
awareness, focus and creativity. The YES! course is offered as a four day
residential course in the Ashram, and is open to all those from 13 to 18
years of age.

YES! Advanced Course - YES!2 (For YES! Graduates)

The YES! 2 course is the advanced course for the youth. It is a powerful,
vibrant and dynamic residential program that takes youth to a new level of
responsibility and understanding of their mind. They will experience
different levels of Energy, Confidence and Self-Believe. This program also
includes an introduction to silence, to give participants a taste of the
charm and calmness of their Self.
The YES!2 Course is offered as a five days residential program in the
