What is Rudra Pooja
Rudrapooja is an ancient practice that has been followed in India since time
immemorial. Rudra means Shiva - The Benevolent, The Destroyer of evil. Pooja
means that which is born of fullness. Through this pooja one can aim for
inner peace and fulfillment.
Why Rudra Pooja
The world is a play of energy, negative and positive. When we pray to Shiva
- the Lord of transformation; the entire negative energy around us in the
form of disease, depression, and unhappiness gets transformed into peace,
prosperity and joy. Peace around us, in the mind, body and soul.
The Pooja Function:
Saamoohik poojas means public function in a public hall. All are welcome to
attend - those who have not done The Art of Living course are also welcome
to attend and take a Sankalpa (i.e. become a yajman i.e. pooja would be done
in his name) and participate in the Pooja. The gotra of people taking the
Sankalpa would be pronounced before the initiation of the Pooja.

What is a Sankalpa?

Sankalpa is the specific purpose for which you are getting the Pooja

Sankalpas are taken for the sake of washing away one's sins and afflictions,
for bringing peace, prosperity and happiness, along with family
togetherness. Sankalpas bring so much peace and prosperity that more than
95% of people who have taken Sankalpas earlier continue to take Sankalpas
every year. All people are cordially invited to attend the Puja by Swamiji
and veda boys coming from Bangalore Ashram specially for the Rudra puja.

Q: How do I improve family ties?
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: To improve family ties, don't try to improve it. Don't
try to get over the misunderstanding. If there is a misunderstanding, just
overlook that.
Educate and ignore. Move forward. Don't do postmortem, i.e., sit and dig,
'Why did you say that?', 'You don't love me', all this garbage is such a
waste of time. We dwell into so much emotional garbage. We should throw them
all out and have bubbling enthusiasm. You should move with enthusiasm.
If someone lacks enthusiasm, push them into enthusiasm, and do not go on
complaining or asking for explanation from people.
To improve family relations you need two things - No Explanations and No
Complaints. That's it. Got it?
Asking explanation from others is a foolish thing. And explaining to others
thinking they would understand is another foolish thing. It doesn't work
both ways. The best is to just move forward.

Subject: Part-2 course at the beautiful Vasad Ashram, Gujarat with Divyesh
Vala, 26-29 July

After the successful Sri Sri Yoga Level 2 and Part-1 courses conducted by
Divyesh bhaiya at Powai, Mumbai in June, its time to go to the serene and
beautiful Sri Sri Gujarat Ashram at Vasad.

In the monsoon the area is lush green with wild peacocks coming to the
ashram morning and evening...............an enchanting evening walk along
the river Mahi and a trek to nearby hills...............and much more at Sri
Sri Gujarat Ashram Nr. Ankalawadi Village, Vasad Sarsa Road , Vasad 21Km
from Vadodara.

We plan to board the 12027 Vadodara Express which departs at 12 midnight on
25th July night from Borivali station, Mumbai and reach Vadodara at 6am on
Thursday 26th July. Rickshaws will be arranged by the ashram staff, and we
will be in the ashram by 7am. After checking into our alloted rooms and
freshening up we would be ready for various courses at 10am.

4 days of blissful, peaceful retreat with the whole family. For kids "Art
Excel" and "YES" for youngsters will be arranged along with "PART-2" course.


A full family outing in the monsoons like never before.

Part-2 Course dates are from Thurs 26th July to Sun 29th July. Fees Rs.
3,500 inclusive of food and accommodation.

We will book train tickets from Borivali, Mumbai for all those who register
before 7th July (charges at actuals for 3 tier AC train tickets). All those
who register after this date will arrange for their own transportation.
