A Silent Revolution in Karad.
Karad, a sleepy little place as it truly is, in Satara district of Maharashtra
had been a witness to what HIS maya really does through a teacher's
presence...Hansa didi's visit this September.
Hosting her for the first time without even knowing her earlier ever was
something. 17 years of teaching experience, smiling in the chill of 4AM misty
morning in the railway station on receiving her, raining cats and dogs during
Kriya time for all the batches though at different times of day ( 3 batches
back to back...the first for Karad !!!), 100% participant attendance on all
days, participants from likes of Muslims, Christians apart were all the
boisterous lines that any volunteer would be blissful about to share with
others.
Two volunteers to start with, out of which 1 dropping out completely with only
3 registrations at hand, transformed into 3 batches of morning, afternoon and
evening "smiling factories" churning out smiles in plenty and happiness in
abundance.
Courses apart, Queen, as she rightly is called (Moving to attack in all
directions not only on the chess board !!!)– is not the one resting in the
palace of the bee-hive, but the one who leaves the worker bees far behind. Guru
pujas aplenty in homes of volunteers kept her busy and volunteers blissful,
from dawn to dusk in between the batches.
And, Karad again reaffirmed its conviction to deliver when it matters, when
Hansa didi being also a YES and ART Excel teacher, delivered the first and
biggest intro talk for about 300 students of 8,9 and 10th standard at Krishna
School, the sister institution of Krishna Medical University - culminating in a
Post-Diwali YES course waiting to happen.
I wish I could put in words as to what learning I went through all the while
Hansa didi was at a speed which strangely outdone that of many young and raring
volunteers. You got to host a course for her and then realize it yourself. This
apart from the numerous and practical incidents that she quotes so naturally
from all her experiences from HIM since 1994, those golden days when HE would
himself teach at courses.
Karad with Krishna Medical University AOL family wishes to express its
heartfelt gratitude to HIM for letting all this happen, and obviously is
waiting for more action and soon.
