This week-long Art of Silence retreat is a unique opportunity in the
U.S., which will take you deep into your Self over a whole week with senior
teacher Michael Fischman. This course is an opportunity to experience
powerful silence along with the deep serenity of 'Hollow and Empty'
meditations. A profound stillness and a lessening of mental chatter are just
some of the results of the course. A shorter 4-day course will be offered at
the same time for those unable to attend the longer course.


During this time, Navaratri will be celebrated at the center. It is an
ancient tradition. Nine days of inner silence and celebration. Special
ceremonies nurture the subtle impulses that govern nature and our own
nature.

Navaratri is Sanskrit for nine nights. Just as a person spends nine
months in the womb, during this event, nine days are spent going inward,
harmonizing the feminine forces in creation, erasing negative karma, and
emerging transformed in pure love. The course will happen during this
festival, which will feature daily chants and music. Special ceremonies will
be held to celebrate Saptami (Oct 21st) and Ashtami (Oct 22nd) at the end of
the course.


Boone is renowned as a mountain get-away especially in October, when the
leaves turn golden red. You can beat the city rush and come to our very own
retreat facility amidst the serene mountains and turning foliage.
