Subject: Blood Donation & A Free Library Hall in Labour Camp
On 31st December, 2010, Jeevanakala -The Art Of Living - Dubai conducted a
blood donation camp & a Free Library Hall (Vayanasala) in Al Ghandi Auto
staff accommodation at Sonapur Labour Camp, Dubai, UAE. The camp in general
and specially the blood donation camp were officially inaugurated by the
Honourable Consul (Community Affairs) Sri Francis Xavier Xaxa of Indian
Consulate Dubai. There were 150+ people donated the blood starting from
9:00 AM till 2:00 PM.
The Vayanasala was formally inaugurated by one of the greatest modern poet
and dramatist - Sri Kavalam Narayana Panicker hailed from Kerala. Thanks to
the concept of DC Books & Indian Media Forum, Dubai, the Art Of Living was
materializing this for the Labour class in Labour camps. The healthy comment
from Sri Kavalam, "this camp is not only for the body but also for the minds
of the people" was an encouragement for the organizers of the camp in total.

Largest Bal Chetna Shivir outside India called as Art Of Living Alertness
Program for Children.
600 Children of Our Own English High School (Boys) - Sharjah - Grade IV
experienced the ART OF LIVING ALERTNESS PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN (Bal Chetna
Shivir) from the 12th to the 16th December, 2010.
Art Excel teachers, Mrs Raksha Patel and Mrs Vanya Vora, conducted this
programme with the help of a team of dedicated and committed volunteers. It
was an amazing experience for everyone. The children shared their
overwhelming experiences on the last day in response sheet. The changes
observed in the children moved our teachers and volunteers from within.
Sejal, Sujatha, Sukumari, Gomathy, Pranali, Jaishree, Banu were the angels
who helped teachers to conduct this workshop. It needed lots of energy to
handle 600 boys in two batches of 300 each. Teachers and staff of the
school were astonished to see the children enjoying this workshop. The
happiness and peace on their faces was a testament to the impact of this
programme. At the end of the workshop, the children as well as the AOL team
of teachers and volunteers were looking forward to such workshops in the
future.
