Subject: Guruji on front page of leading newspaper
Guruji visited Manila, Philippines from 3 to 4 November. AOL volunteers were
given only 14 days notice of His visit. The belongingness and enthusiasm
generated in that short time brought out the very best in everyone. A Public
Satsang was organised at the prestigious SMX Convention Centre for over 1000
people on 3 Nov. This was preceded by a Press Conference.
This article is on the front page of the leading newspaper Philippine Daily
Inquirer today, Sunday 8 Nov.

Guruji showed us that if we work together and use the Knowledge, anything is
possible! His short notice did not give us the chance to worry or be anxious
about how everything was going to happen. A real lesson in being 100% and
living in the present moment. We did what needed to be done, and in the process
there was so much joy, enthusiasm, energy and dynamsim.

Subject: National Service Project to help Raise funds for Local Youth Programs
The Bountiful Garden Foundation (BGF) is an independent 501c(3) organization
that focuses on the environment, community outreach & fund raising and has been
approved by Gurudev and the AOLF Board of Directors.
BGF has transformed over the past four years from an organization focused on
selling produce to an organization selling nursery plants. Nominally Heirloom
Tomato Seedlings but there's no limit to the kinds of plants that can be sold.
Our 501c(3) status allows local tax deductible donations and corporate grants
to be received and also provides liability insurance and other advantages for
your local groups. Sort of like how franchises work, we can provide marketing
materials, web site support and so on.
Initially our proceeds went to New Orleans for post Hurricane Katrina Relief
but now we're focusing on using the money for you to help support your own
local youth programs.
We can provide seeds (100 varieties--see site), expertise, guidelines and other
resources to help you grow your own local organization out. In just the past
few years, we've raised over $40,000 selling tomato plants so there is ample
evidence that this is a very lucrative way to raise funds for local projects.
Also, besides being incredibly fun and educational seva, BGF is a phenomenal
community outreach program. Both from the standpoint of gathering local
volunteers to help as well as being able to sell the plants at local sales,
farmer's markets, etc. and being able to meet and touch thousands of local
citizens.
Please feel free to contact me for questions or go to the BGF website and sign
up for our national newsletter. In addition to the Bay Area group, we have BGF
projects starting in Columbus OH and near St. Louis, MO and we'd like to see at
least a half dozen cities added to our organization this next year.

having chucked my job at IBM 2 and half years ago, i did not know what was in
store for me then, but they often say, persistence pays, so here i am full time
faculty and program coordinator, working in the AOL GEP desk, still feeling
something more could be done, got called into the recent DSN with darshakji,
yet again a gift from HIM, given a team of warriors to lead, and we all happily
landed at the asia's largest slum after dharavi, blessed over 500 dwellers,
both kids, mothers and fathers.... who came pouring in like never ending rain
drops. over 40 were relieved of pain instantly. one lady insisted that we
personally go over to a paralytic patient, gave him a nice big hug and
blessings, he was sobbing profusely, could not speak but i could make out he
was overwheled at his fate having brought gurus feet into in his life, when he
yearned for them most....
next morning was a trip to the GK 1 park opposite Jal Board on the BRT
stretch.... again a powerful session on blessings of over 300, including a few
known figures like Arun Jaitley, Rajdeep Sardesai, CEO of Delhi School of Yoga,
amongst many other eminent walkers around the park. a group led us to the Guru
Nanak Devji's bday celebration spot and asked to bless everyone there, some
commented, " how fortunate we are, often one has to walk all the way to a
gurudwara to get blessings, today we have the guru walk to us and bless us
right here and now..."
The following day nav chetna shibir had to begin in sangam vihar, the team all
perked up reached the site, began waking everyone with door to door blessings,
some literally jumped from their feet off the bed to receive the master who
came knocking along with the rising sun, others still in the bath towels and
brushes in mouth were happily amazed to see me... a little lamb and goats were
also blessed in the process.... what a beginning to the musical bonanza that
began next day.... and the drive continues, its sheer fun frolic and masti,
over 100 came in for the shibir on day 2 including 4 reporters from local paper
and magazine, today we have day3, have the met the area MLA and plan to work
with administrative machinary and cover the entire area over coming weeks and
months so those who want to join in are more than welcome to get in touch at

come be part of the most sensational, energy packed transformational shibir,
that is making life a celebration for the dwellers and ours too... like a pied
piper we move through the place and by the time we arrive at the venue (our
school where 70 kids study) there are many who are waiting to dive at the
master's feet to get yet another daily dose of blessings....
