Subject: DELHI YES! GROUP SPEED UP CAMPAIGN!!
JAI HO YES! FAMILY
The Morning of 11th October saw the young bright benevolent faces armoured with
the sword of wisdom
and a drive to change the world to the way they think: A Poverty-Less, A
Hunger-Less & A Grief-Less FAMILY.
Here, was our DELHI YES! Group that landed at the Shahbad Diary Slums to fulfil
Our MASTER's Vision
and contribute to the Millenium Development Goals of United Nations.
Our Youth Icons Gaurav Madan & Atul Saini led us to the place that was
destroyed by massive fire, where people did not have anything to eat nor wear
nor dress. Just our one step and the entire slum was swept with Guru's Grace.
Children, elders, preiests , everyone thronged near the temple where our troop
stood.
They sat in the presence of our teachers and started singing bhajans with a
smile from within.
Ram Meditation brought a solace to their minds that had been traumatized with
the destruction.
A sense of responsibility for the society came upon each & every one when we
took THE SPEED UP PLEDGE.
We then served food, clothes & a pair of slippers which created a bit of chaos
, but slowly returned to Normal.
I was moved by the plight these people were in & took the commitment to serve
them.
Now, we are going to organize a cleanliness drive in the slums as part of our
YES! Club activities.
Thanks to our YES! Teachers Gaurav bhaiya & Atul bhaiya who made us realize
that we have been given so much in life &
we should be totally greatful for it & share it with the needy ones.
