Bad Antogast Diary
A visit to Bad Antogast is good for your body, soul and spirit. One day you
could be preparing for a visit from Guruji and the next picking organic
vegetables and trying a new Ayurvedic dish. We thought we'd post some
highlights from the diary so that if you decide to come here for a course or
just as a break from your busy life you'll have an idea of what it's like.
You'll always find a varied and international group here and right now
visitors include Indians, Argentineans, Poles, Dutch, French and of course,
Germans.
Sunday: Thanks to the warm weather a group enjoyed the last swim of the
season at the waterfalls. They are not very far from the ashram and they are
spectacular. Whichever way you choose to walk from the ashram the mountain
scenery is just amazing.
Wed: An evening with the wonderful Urmila Devi, who we call Mataji. She and
her professional musicians often conduct the satsangs here and Mataji shares
her knowledge so generously.
Fri: Today the chef made sushi for lunch. After lunch there was a hike up
the beautiful Shiva mountain with his special brownies to enjoy at the top.
Sun: GURUJI IS HERE. We had the most amazing satsang with wonderful
knowledge. There was a question about teaching courses and Guruji said:
"There are four pillars to a course. The first and most important is
knowledge and if that is not there nothing else will work well. The second
is administration. Right now this mike is working, somebody is translating,
somebody knew when my flight was arriving and picked me up, otherwise I
wouldn't be here. There is a need for administration. The third pillar is
finance. You definitely need that. The fourth pillar is volunteers who
invite people to come and experience the benefits. They have benefitted and
they wish to inspire others."
