Subject: Berlin: Your Presence is enough, your presence is important!
I was in New York when the 25th anniversary of the Art of Living in the US
was scheduled to be celebrated in Washington DC. Having attended the grand
celebration in India, I did not think it would be important (or fun) to
attend the celebrations in Washington. I became even more disinterested when
I heard that several VVIPs will be there to give speeches. I also felt that
I must not "disturb" Guruji when he is surrounded by all these "important"
people. But just a day before the event, Guruji asked "Will the devotees be
there? All devotees must come to DC." It was such a loving invitation. I had
to go to DC and it was wonderful! Our Guru is hollow and empty, silent and
joyful and he performs miracles every moment - this is his nature and
because of this nature every event of the Art of Living is always successful
- his presence is enough. But the presence of one who is devoted is very
important as well - devotion catches like fire - and through the presence
of devotees new people too feel devotion - often for the first time in their
lives! As Art of Living teachers, we are all Gopis and Gopas - we are in
love with the divine, with Guruji and through us, our course participants
and everyone we meet can and does feel this devotion, this divine love. By
being at the 30th anniversary celebrations in Berlin, we will be helping
this wave of love and devotion spread through out Europe and beyond. Europe
is calling you for help! More than 30% of the population of Europe suffers
from depression. It is only through divine love that this depression can be
wiped out from its roots. Your presence is enough, your presence is
