Courtallam waterfalls popularly known as the "Spa of the South" is situated
amidst picturesque surroundings near the famous temple town of Tenkasi (Kasi of
South). It is known fact that the water here contains a lot of herbs which have
unique medicinal properties. The force of the water falling on top of our body
will makes us feel free of all tensions and worries. It is truly a relaxing
effect for the body a gift from Mother Nature for every one of us to enjoy.
Every year during the season thousands take bath at these waterfalls and come
back home re-energized and invigorated.
The nearby town of Tenkasi is known for the Viswanathar Temple having one of
the largest Gopurams (Temple Tower) in Tamilnadu. The legend about this Temple
says that Sage Agasthiar had created the main deity here at the behest of Lord
Shiva.

Subject: A moment in history

A moment in history!

The Art of Living meditation hall complex coming up at 'Swarnabhoomi' near
Chennai is indeed going to be a moment in history. For the benefit of
everyone's understanding, we wish to present the project in its proper
perspective.

The project is designed as an all-inclusive self-contained township providing
for living, working, education and most important, spirituality, the basis of
everything in life.

MARG has offered to build a meditation hall and allied complex, including
ayurveda spa etc. The complex is going to be owned and managed by the Art of
Living. It is going to be the biggest Art of
Living complex outside our Ashram!

The highlights of the Art of Living complex:

As advised by Guruji, the meditation hall is going to be in the shape of a
conch and 108-feet tall. The shape is obviously with reference to the conch
that appears every 12-years in the nearby Thirukazhakundram temple pond (please
see note below).
The meditation hall will accommodate 5,000-persons.
The amphitheater will provide for a similar number.
Ayurveda spa and all allied activities will take shape eventually.
A convention centre.

The Art of Living complex will be a major center for all our activities in
Chennai, a landmark. Since Guruji is answering our long-felt need to have some
thing like this close to Chennai, we are sure you will agree, that each and
everyone of us need to get involved in the event in a very big way!

Huge arrangements are being made to make the event a grand success. But it can
be grand and an honor befitting our dear Guruji only when each of us get fully
involved. All of us need to joyfully pitch in and be a part of the history in
the making.

The location:

89-kms from Chennai or 60-kms from Pondicherry in a village named
Seekinankuppam in Cheyyur Taluk of Kanchipuram District.
On the East Coast Road connecting Chennai and Pondicherry, positioned near
Chennai's IT Hub, Siruseri.
The significance: Very close to Thirukazhukundram, also known as Dakshina
Kailasam, is one of the most-celebrated temples glorified by Thevara Hymns.
According to legend, the four Vedas; Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharvana are seen
here in the shape of four boulders, placed one above the other with Lord Shiva
as Vedagiriswarar, emerging from the head of 4th Veda, Atharvana. Hence the
place gets the name Vedagiri. The hill is 500-feet high and has about
550-steps. The central shrine of Vedagiriswarar is seen built of three large
boulders, constituting the 3-walls of the sanctum sanctorum. The main deity is
a Swaymbu Lingam. In the enclosure around the sanctum sanctorum, are the
shrines for Sokkanayagi and for Vinayakar (in a dancing posture). Once upon a
time, a pair of eagles used to visit this temple and eat the temple prasad.
Every 12-years, a conch appears from the temple pond, with which Abhishekham is
performed to the reigning deity even today.

Programme:

26-Nov-09: Divya Satsang, 6-pm onwards.
27-Nov-09: Rudra Puja, 6.30-am onwards, followed by foundation laying ceremony
of the meditation hall

KYC is a two hour interactive workshop for parents which gives a glimpse into
child's mind and thus his/her behavior.

Subject: NJ's Blessed Week (20+ teachers, 14 locations, 250+ participants)

One Intention, One Mind, One Thought with the blessing of manifested divinity,
it looked much easier. End of September, New Jersey launched "STRESS FREE NEW
JERSEY" with one pointed focus to offer courses all over the state at the same
time. The week was set for end of October. 20 plus teachers, 14 locations, 250+
participants all happened in just last week of October.

All minds were united and had only one SANKALPA of taking this knowledge to
nook and corner of state and we saw how blessed we are, when the phones did not
stop ringing and people were rushing to take the course. It also had to do with
lot of outreach done in a month since the launch of this program and one minded
focus. All the teachers in the state were busy either teaching or coordinating.
It was an amazing week of grace and blessings.

The steps taken to achieve included everyday Navaratri Satsangs, One Grand
Satsang at the Metuchen center (we had more than 300 people participating on
Durga Ashtami). We organized a Diwali Satsang with Sachin Limaye which was
attended by over 500 people. Above all, it was sheer grace that flowed in every
heart which manifested in what we call as "NJ BLESSED WEEK"

In the Gracious Presence of
Swami Sri Madhusudanji

In Darjeeling and Kurseong, (W.B.) from 10th to 12th Nov,2009.

Darjeeling was as usual in its cold windy self. But at the onset of Swami
Madhusudanji's padyatra, suddenly the inhabitants experienced the warmth
everywhere and people rushed from all directions, even from the shops and
houses to take his blessings. More than 25000 people got the oppurtunity to be
blessed by him. They were literally waiting, it seemed. The rush was just
neverending. Anugrahotsav (Peacewalk) took a
new turn in Kurseong, where 4000 students from 3 Missionary schools got blessed
by Swamiji. The students experienced the divine presence, as he blessed each
one of them. Everyone was amazed to witness the restless and noisy students
calm down as Swamiji addressed them ,that too without a microphone. The
students and teachers were literally awestruck at the sheer beauty and divinity
radiating through the gentle smile, and at the care and concern in Swamiji's
eyes. Apart from this, streams of people came to take blessings when Swamiji
was out on the streets of Kurseong totalling upto 7000 people.

School children queued to get blessings Even the security guards couldn't
resist his divine touch.

Tourists in awe at the divinely ambience. Youths getting attracted to the
divine aura.


Inspite of the heavy load, the porters, made an extra effort to get into the
crowd and receive the blessings. Thousands of school children getting the
privilege of his blessings.


Children all in blissful glee! People thronging in from all directions.

Darjeeling witnessing the love and care flowing towards them. Blessing rush
hour!


The grace of the divine is for one and all. 3000 restless boys getting
mesmerized, and feeling the love deep within.

A group of teenagers of around 16 years joined the padyatra in Kurseong, who
had never heard of Art of Living before. They shared that they were so happy to
receive blessings and were wanting to be devoted to God . They eagerely wanted
to be a part of us. They held placards, participated in distributing leaflets,
photos, etc as if it was their own event and were throughly thrilled.

An elderely lady shared that Swamiji reminded her of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Ram
Krishna Paramhansa and Maa Kali – all in one.

Last weekend I had been to North Karnataka flood affected areas.The situation
is really bad there. I was sent by my company with my colleagues to prepare a
report.We went to Gadag and Bagalkot.

There was a very very old lady about 90+ . The roof of her house was
damaged,she had no choice but to live there risking that roof may fall anytime.
She told us that its been two days since she had a meal.Her son-in law had
given her two banana's..those she was offered us... we were moved to
tears.Thats the greatness of people in North Karnataka. Even if they have
nothing, still they have the heart to give to others.I recall my TTC teacher
talking about people in North Karnataka how they don't know you but they ask
you have if you have eaten and .....give you food. The real instance of
"ATHITHI DEVO BHAVA".A Divya Samaj.

Even after such a destruction created by flood, people in North Karnataka were
having no scarcity in food barring a few.Which was quite different from other
flood hit areas.I felt that this 'bhaav' to always offer to others whatever you
have that is so glaring in North Karnataka is what is helping the people there
in these tough times ...they have no food problem.This is what Divine society
means.

This Divya Samaj a Divine society is what we can create ..a step towards the
DSN program can see us their surely.We are blessed to have Anandji who makes
the this profound course so much fun.This course breaks our personal
barriers,makes us strong individuals who want to work towards this divine

On the occasion of Children's Day, "Bal Utsav 2009", a special event for
children was organised by the Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, founded by Art
of Living exponent Sri Sri Ravishankar Guruji.

More than 5,000 children, from different schools of the city, participated in
the event. Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri, primary and secondary education minister,
was a special guest. The event was compered by Master Kishen, the world's
youngest film director.
Thirteen child prodigies were honoured on the occasion. They demonstrated their
talents in various fields. Karan Krishna, an international magician and
Nikhil, a top Go Karting racer, were among those honoured.

Answering why India was behind many countries, Master Kishen said,
"If we children get together and each one makes a mark in one or the other
field, India can be miles ahead of all other countries."

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Sri said every child possesses a unique talent,
but somehow it gets missed and buried in the course of everyday school routine.
The key is to harness the ancient and innovative with the modern and bring out
the hidden talent in children, he added.

Subject: Chennai Anugrahotsavam 2009

He came, He Conquered, He Blessed!

Yes. His presence itself was so soothing, every one experiencing his
unconditional and soothing love. Thousands were happy to stand in the
line patiently and wait for their turn to go up to Swami
Jyothirmayahji to receive blessing from him. This was the scene
starting from the first venue at Triplicane in central Chennai on
Saturday, 7-Nov, followed by Choolaimedu on Sunday, 8-Nov. It was the
same on Monday, 9-Nov at Ambattur, despite it being a working day.
Ambattur event ended around 9-pm, just like the other venues. Save for
two short interludes of meditation, Swamiji's blessing went without a
break.

The Tuesday, 10-Nov venue was in a rural area. The venue was
Pachaiamman Koil, Swarnabhoomi project area where Guruji, on 27-Nov,
will be laying the foundation for a conch-shaped meditation hall. The
scene was very much the same. Photographs taken in the blessing venue
and outside shows many angels! One particular picture taken near
Swamiji's cottage when he was blessing the staff there, when enlarged
shows a face we are all very familiar with!

Wednesday, 11-Nov was at Medavakkam, a Chennai suburb. Not only the
local people and inmates of various homes for elderly, orphans etc; a
number of software personnel from the nearby IT corridor stood in line
and received blessings from Swamiji.

What was common in all the venues were experiences of a relief from
underlying stress, a sudden surge of sense of well-being. There were
many healing experiences too. One person who was under investigation
for possible cardiac problems felt an immediate relief from the
palpitation and the tightness in the chest! Obviously the reports next
day turned out to be normal! Experiences of relief from knee pain etc
were many.

The Chennai volunteers team was extremely fortunate to have had the
opportunity to offer Seva to Swamiji during the short 5-day
Anugrahotsavam. All of us are continuing to enjoy very high energy
levels, post-Anugrahotsavam. We look forward to organize a huge
Blessing event in Chennai once again very soon!

Most of the participants are MDs & Nurses. They all

full support in taking it to a different level. We are getting

a grant for the YOGA to be taught to our patients.

interested and talk to them. You can also talk to people

in your satsang groups. Do it with your 100% intention

and effort. Then whatever happens is fine.

I did & two of the devotees from Westchester are inspired

to go. One is already registered for the upcoming SSY-TTC
